Delivering Results
Since its inception in 2003, GJI has contributed to a 25% decease in detention rates of girls between the ages of 12 and 18 in the San Francisco Juvenile Justice System.

Building on What Works
This year and in the future, The Girls Justice Inititative will provide case planning and support services for more than 300 girls entering the San Francisco juvenile justice system. In addition, GJI will begin duplication of it's programs for girls and boys in Alameda County.

Connecting People Who Care
The Girls Justice Initiative brings together youth focused organizations and the juvenile justice partners to improve services for detained girls. The initiative has strengthened the capacity of these agencies by providing 40 trainings over the past four years to more than 400 partners from 40 local agencies serving youth.
